Hello, and welcome. I am a psychodynamic therapist working with mature adults navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, grief, and longstanding patterns that no longer serve them. In addition to my general practice, I have a particular interest in working with individuals who have struggled with weight across decades and are beginning to understand the role biology plays in appetite, metabolism, and persistent “food noise.” Many thoughtful, capable adults have carried a private struggle with weight. Despite discipline and repeated effort, the cycle of hope, loss, and regain can quietly shape identity and self-worth.
The growing recognition of obesity as a complex, chronic medical condition — and the emergence of treatments such as GLP-1 medications — brings both relief and grief. Relief that it was never simply a failure of willpower. Grief for years spent in self-blame, and shame, — reinforced by societal messages, cultural norms, and medical professionals.
I bring both clinical expertise and lived understanding to this work. Therapy offers a steady, thoughtful space to integrate the emotional and biological realities of this experience and to develop a more compassionate relationship with yourself.
