My name is Robin Hicks I’m the first person in three generations to earn a college degree. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Spalding University in Louisville Kentucky, and a Master’s degree in Marriage & Family therapy from St Mary’s University in Minnesota. I grew up in Minneapolis with many challenges, trauma, and one parent household. My ambition has helped me to guide others in their quest to identify, to develop and deliver their purpose in life. I have supported others in a variety of settings from infants to adults and families. presenting with a variety of emotional, social, and behavioral concerns.
Many times teens emerging to young adults that struggle with mood disorders, self-destructive behaviors such as substance abuse, non-suicidal self-injury, and anger. I have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Mindfulness and Motivational Interviewing. I have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy.
I have worked as a therapist in a non-profit organization, private practice, college, and as the Clinic Supervisor for a residential program for boys, ages 10-19, who have significant mental health issues and unhealthy sexual behaviors. I have experience treating and working with individuals of all ages, backgrounds, abilities, and is LGBTQIA+ friendly.
