I am originally from Huntsville, AL. I moved to VA to attend Longwood University. While at Longwood, I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and a Master of Science in Community and College Counseling. Since December 2014, I have worked as a youth development professional. I enjoy actively listening to others and providing them with a safe space to allow them to speak freely. I strive to help people find and hone their passions. I enjoy art, music, technology, and media. I believe life is a delicate balance of enjoyment and responsibilities.
For those who learned to ride a bike, the process usually started out slow, with safety measures like training wheels in place. As we matured and/or improved our craft, we were typically taken out one day with a trusted adult and given a supportive push. Likewise, I gently nudge clients to get them started on their new journey.
I see clients as subject matter experts in their own lives. You are in control of yourself and making the improvements you seek. I work to coach clients through making adjustments to their lives. I'm not here to give you easy fixes, but I will work with you to offer tools and resources to assist you in taking steps to be the person you envision.
