My clients are survivors of the worst life has to offer, traumatic experiences no one wants to acknowledge or talk about. Bad things happen to almost all of us, leaving anxiety, depression, alienation & other unwanted issues in their wake. With the specialized therapies I offer, trauma will not continue to define your life. My clients have survived natural disasters; sex abuse and incest; family scapegoating abuse; relationships with narcissists; dysfunctional relationships & infidelity; physical, verbal & emotional abuse; family estrangement; a family member or friend's terminal illness or suicide. I can help stop the suffering.
I have the unique gift of being able to help people in their darkest moments in life. I enjoy working with people who have grief and trauma, ranging from military vets, sexual assault victims and people harmed by broken or dysfunctional relationships. I offer couples & family counseling. As a former teacher, I enjoy working with children and teens.
I am contagiously positive and practical & offer tools in the first session to initiate healing. I have 30 years experience as a professional, parent, educator and caregiver for parents w/ cancer, dementia, stroke & chronic pain diagnoses.
