Surprisingly, the trickiest part isn't the treatment for what ails you, it's finding the willingness to do what's needed. Really, there are two kinds of therapy: There's therapy for your "symptoms," and there's therapy that helps you to embrace change and growth to begin with. Most people have been hampered in some way for some time, then something puts them over the edge and they are suddenly willing to see a therapist. People want to feel better or have more satisfying lives--it's the getting there that's the sticking point!
I trained at an institution that put heavy emphasis on science because my background already included a great deal of personal and philosophical exploration. My practice reflects both but, really, what most of my clients are doing is personal growth (self-actualization)--and treating "illness" (if any) is just a subset of that.
Whether you have a diagnosable condition or just want more fulfillment, the primary task is to embrace life. Please call me to discuss your individual situation and see if I am a good fit for you and your needs. I look forward to talking with you and getting started.
