Working at a small practice like Alternative Choices allows me to use all of my training to help a variety of clients with many types of concerns and challenges. I work with individuals, families, couples or groups, from middle school age through adulthood, to address issues related to learning disabilities, attention-deficit disorder, autism spectrum, depression, anxiety, social skills, and others. I incorporate mindfulness techniques and strategies into more conventional modes of therapy to help my clients confront, tolerate, accept, and ultimately embrace difficult emotions and moods, in order to improve the quality of their lives and relationships.
While I have experience working with adults, my background in School Psychology allows me to fully appreciate the challenges unique to the lives of children, and how those issues affect their school lives, behaviorally, academically, and socially. I am extremely comfortable collaborating with school staff, parents and other caregivers.
While Alternative Choices works with a broad range of clients and concerns, we are well-known in the Philadelphia area as a leading resource for people struggling with issues related to Autism Spectrum Disorder. I can assist with social development and skill building, as well as school and employment issues.
