Hi! Welcome to the jungle of Psychology Today. Finding a therapist is often a more difficult process than people realize, so I want to help you get a picture of who I am, and what it’s like to work with me. I’m a follower of Jesus; he leads me towards growth, healing, and connection. This means that I am constantly striving to find my identity in something bigger than myself, while struggling with all the things that everyone struggles with. I love to listen to people’s stories, especially those who have different beliefs from me. I also love to give people a sense that I care deeply about them, not just as a client, but as a human.
My educational background is in both marriage and family therapy as well as pastoral counseling, although I pull from wisdom throughout all ages and sectors of life to meet clients where they are at. I see clients as individuals, families, and couples, with a particular fondness for working with couples and with men facing addiction, codependence, and more.
I have formal post-graduate training in Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy through ICEEFT, and am in training to become a certified sex addiction therapist through IITAP. Whether it's relationship recovery, or personal healing, I love the work I get to do.
