Most everyone experiences some Problems of Living during the course of his or her life. These can manifest as common psychological symptoms or as difficulties in relationship or work. By attending to the contributions that both past experiences and present circumstances make, I work to liberate effort and energy caught in these problems, making that very energy available for the pursuit of wishes and some measure of joy.
The means to exploring these past experiences and daily circumstances are through the mechanisms originally discovered by Freud and elucidated upon by Jaques Lacan; dreams, slips of the tongue, daydreams, bungled actions and the like. By focusing upon these both in session and between, significant progress can be realized.
Therapy should be practical, but no more practical than the situation and the individual call for; therapy should be no less complicated than the person experiencing it.
