Hello, my name is Rob and I have been in practice for over 30 years. I have experience with virtually all populations, including working with children, teens, adults, families, and marriage counseling. I have experience with substance abuse treatment and multiple mood and other psychological disorders. I have helped folks deal with vocational issues and well as relationship problems. I treat a wide variety of issues, but usually deal with short term, solution focused counseling that is designed to provide concrete, measurable results.
I am supportive and empathetic, but I am fairly blunt and direct in that I reflect back to my clients what they are doing, so that they can make more productive choices.
I focus on a client's strengths and how best to use these attributes to achieve concrete, measurable results. Clients should expect a complete assessment of their situation and strengths, and to formulate some initial, concrete, and measurable goals.
