I am a Licensed Marriage, Family Therapist (LMFT). Throughout my career as a therapist, I have worked with individuals and families with different socioeconomic backgrounds, religious preferences, sexual orientations, and hardships- that are very different from my own. This has helped me to understand and implement a variety of approaches to identify appropriate interventions based on personal needs and circumstances. I use Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative Therapy.
I have provided support to clients dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, adjustment difficulties, and grief. I am comfortable working with said clients. My approach to goal setting with clients focuses on collaboration. Together, the client and I explore what they hope to achieve during our sessions together.
When we meet for the first time, the client can expect me to listen and see how things look from their perspective. During this time, I will get to know the client better. By the end of the session, the client and I will have a clearer idea of their path moving forward.
