I support people with being present to what's happening within and around them, so that you can make skillful changes to to adapt to life as it is. Changes that may initially be scary but, with support and growth of your confidence, changes are possible! I also work with couples who wish to deepen their relationship, to be more present with one another, and to communicate more effectively.
My clients tend to feel challenge with: anxiety, depression, body image, self-esteem, sexual orientation, gender identity, transitioning, relationships, communication, grief/loss, and adapting to change. I guide mindfulness, Gestalt Therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), a strengths-based approach, and brief/solution-focused interventions.
My approach supports safe space for self-exploration and is truly integrative, working with awareness of mind, heart, body, and spirit. My work is informed by: 20 years of LGBT and women's rights work; being a yoga and mindfulness teacher; ordination as an Interfaith minister; a love of creating documentary photography; and a social work masters.
