I specialize in helping people suffering with anxiety, depression, PTSD and trauma, and difficulties with self-confidence. Our work together will begin by getting to know one another and building a strong foundation for our work together. I am a warm, compassionate, and patient person and strive to utilize these traits to help others grow and know themselves on a deeper level. I believe the relationship between therapist and patient is the driving force in creating significant and long-lasting change. We will examine the various identities that you hold and the impact they have on you as an individual and your relationships.
I utilize a psychoanalytic lens to help people. We will use the therapeutic relationship to practice new ways of thinking, being, and expressing yourself. In addition, we will examine your coping mechanisms, as well as developmental and relational history, as a way to identify your challenges as well as strengths in order to create change.
I strive to create a warm, patient, and open environment where people can come as they are. I don't hold any expectations of what people should be like in therapy. I just encourage them to come as they are on any given day. I believe this is the best way for us to get to know one another and create the changes you desire.
