Life is complicated in the best of times, and these are not the best of times It's a lot, trying to juggle career, finances, relationships, and even health issues that can arise. It is easy to get overwhelmed and lost and, if we can admit it, scared. You are reaching for a life that is fulfilling and viable in a world that is loud with distractions and nonstop demands for our attention. You may never have thought you would see a therapist, or maybe you've been in and out therapist offices for years. OK. What matters is that you know that right now you need some help and you have the courage to ask for it. That's the first step.
I have done this work for several decades, with persons who bring diverse backgrounds and stories. And many kinds of issues. I will listen deeply and without judging to what you are experiencing in your life... to your current struggles and deep wishes. And offer you steadiness and perspectives to help you find your way through this to the life you want.
My practice is with adults, both in individual therapy and as couples. I have special interest and training in addressing issues around emotional and sexual intimacy, life transitions, faith, and loss. My approach is psychodynamic and relational. Sometimes an issue resolves in a few sessions, but I also do longer term therapy to address deeper issues.
