I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Virginia and Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida, who specializes in treating a range of relational issues, adjustment disorders, anxiety, and depression. As both a husband and father of two children, I understand the importance of how communication, conflict resolution, and boundaries can contribute to building healthier relationships. I desire to help clients develop healthier relationships not only with others but also within themselves while also developing healthier coping skills to promote emotional regulation and wellness within their lives.
I utilize an integrative approach of CBT and DBT treatment modalities to offer a multi-dimensional approach to our therapy sessions. I also engage in talk therapy and mindfulness-based exercises to help promote positive thought processing and healthy emotional regulation within the client's life.
My primary strengths are in listening, seeking understanding, and meeting an individual where they are in the moment. I think some of the core components that we all seek out as humans are to be heard, valued, and understood, and I try to create that type of environment in all my sessions.
