Robert Lynn Horne MD was named a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association in 2011, signifying he is in the top 5% of the Psychiatrists in the US. He has had 7 Board Certifications including by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, American Board of Adolescent Psychiatry and American Academy of Pain Medicine. He graduated from Washington University School of Medicine, Interned at Barnes Hospital, did his Residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Fellowship at U of P’s Unit for Experimental Psychiatry and has been in Private Practice since 1979.
He was a Principal Investigator of 174 studies for 30 pharmaceutical companies and studied all psychiatric medications approved by the FDA between 1980 and 2015 and many which were never released. He has authored over 30 articles in Psychiatric Journals and delivered over 450 lectures to physicians in the US, Europe and South America.
Topics included treatment of Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Anxiety, Panic, Schizophrenia, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, PTSD, Dementia, Pain, ADHD, Alcoholism, Drug Addiction and Insomnia.
