About
I primarily practice Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), an evidence-based treatment rooted in the idea that many of our normal, common-sense attempts to change or eliminate unwanted thoughts and feelings actually increase our suffering, keep us stuck, and prevent us from fully living. I provide a safe and compassionate space in which to learn to respond to these difficult experiences in new ways that free you up to do what you care about most deeply. We will explore your internal and external worlds, clarify your values and goals, and learn practical skills to help you pursue them.
I work with adults and adolescents. I help clients address conditions including generalized and social anxiety disorders, depression, OCD, PTSD, ADHD, panic disorder, and others. I also recognize that you are a whole person, not a diagnosis, and we will work together to tailor therapy to your individual needs and preferences.
My style is reflective, thoughtful, and non-judgmental. First and foremost, my job is to listen to you. I take great care in learning about and appreciating each person I work with, and I believe everyone has the capacity to build a richer and more fulfilling life.
