Denkin, PhD, was an Assistant Clinical Professor at Yale University for nearly 10 years and in addition to high-level training and a broad knowledge base in the field of psychology, he is a former professional baseball player and collegiate coach; experiences that have contributed to his understanding of what it takes to accomplish goals.
Dr. Denkin specializes in individual therapy with pre-adolescents, adolescents and adults who have a history of experiencing problems with depression, anxiety, trauma, attention-deficit, and substance abuse. In addition, he specializes in the diagnosis, assessment, and treatment of ADHD; including in-depth psychological evaluations and psychological testing.
Utilizing a wide range of clinical experience, Dr. Denkin employs interventions derived from many different disciplines; including, but not limited to, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral modification treatment, mindfulness based skills training, stress management techniques, psychodynamic psychotherapy, DBT, and sports psychology.
