People sometimes come to therapy seeking support in getting through a challenging time or in making a difficult decision. At other times they're looking to change long-term patterns of behaving and relating. And sometimes we feel lost, stuck, or hopeless and aren’t sure what to do. Whatever your goal, motivation, or need, I believe therapy can facilitate discovery and change that can increase self-knowledge as well as strengthen and improve the quality of your relationships not only with with the significant people in your life but also — and maybe more importantly — with yourself.
Because my approach is strongly informed by my multi-theoretical training and experience, I incorporate various ways of thinking about and understanding your experiences in our work together. My role is to help you discover yourself in an open, nonjudgmental, and curious space.
I have extensive clinical experience working with queer, gay, lesbian, bi, straight, trans, cis, poly, and monogamous people — in addition to people of various ethnic and racial identities, people in recovery, and people of various socioeconomic backgrounds. The wide diversity in human experiences is what I value the most in my work.
