After twenty years of practice, I continue to find that people are best served by a counselor who is emotionally and psychologically available to them in a time of need. I have enjoyed strong effectiveness working with depression, relationship conflict, grief, and anger management. I work with couples, older adults, teens, and children. These experiences have inspired me to incorporate multiple approaches that fit the personalities, interests and needs that people bring to my practice.
I employ several therapeutic counseling techniques such as Short Term, Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive and Trauma Based Behavioral, Person Centered, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Mindfulness approaches. I also assist people who want to put their own spiritual dimension to work in new and healing ways.
My greatest joy is getting to know, appreciate and enjoy the people I work with. I love the use of humor and find that it brings a fresh new perspective of healing for many people who find themselves in difficult situations. I work with total acceptance of each person without judgment and ensure their confidentiality.
