I believe psychotherapy can be transformational. In my 20 years as a psychologist, I've noticed a few key components to my work: I approach every new client with unconditional positive regard. I am empathic and supportive, yet direct and focused. I use humor often and laugh a lot. I am an active, conversational therapist. I use a team-oriented approach and keep communication flowing between parents, teachers and counselors. I specialize in working with men ages 16+ for Depression, Anxiety, ADHD and Relationships. I am goal oriented, meet my clients where they are and love my job. I approach every client with kindness an compassion.
I believe every experience in our biographical timeline contributes to who we are today. These experiences shape the way we view the world, how we tolerate feelings and relate to others. One main goal in therapy is to identify and change maladaptive patterns and to gain insight to what motivates us.
I often combine personal experience with clinical expertise to help my clients move forward. I am happily married with 3 energetic pups that keep me busy and well entertained. These days, in my early 40's I find most joy working out in the yard, watching the birds, playing USTA tennis leagues and having game nights with friends.
