We as people are all broken on some level, but we don’t need to stay that way. Depending upon the cards we have been dealt in life, what’s been done to us, and what we’ve done to ourselves, many of us develop fractures in our view of the world. These “fractures” affect how we view ourselves and our relationships. No matter what you are going through at this stage in life, you don’t need to struggle alone. There is hope! Whether you’re dealing with relationship issues, career problems, abuse, anxiety, depression, or self-destructive habits, change is possible. I believe that every person has the capacity to heal, grow, and change!
I utilize a Cognitive Behavioral approach. I help a client identify the negative thoughts that can paralyze each of us and replace them with healthy more appropriate thoughts. I do that through building a therapeutic relationship with my clients. I am also a Christian counselor and can, if a client wishes, incorporate spiritual enrichment into the session.
I am the father of four boys, ranging in ages from 8 years old to 20 years and have been married for 24 years. I understand the joys and challenges of being both a spouse and parent. I have also had life happen to me and during those times I learned a lot about perseverance. Through my experiences I have learned to give myself compassion, grace and to MOVE!
