I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). I strive to have clients feel heard, validated, and supported. I aim to bring new challenges, ideas, and approaches to clients that are unique to their needs. I view my approach as integrative. I do utilize EMDR, CBT, DBT, and other specific modalities. I want the client to realize they are in charge, and I am ultimately helping with facilitating their growth. In an ideal session, the client will be speaking about 90% of the time. I view myself as a lifelong learner and want to have that outlook to support, encourage, and challenge others to strive for their own progress.
When I work with clients, I want to have a collaborative relationship where they can feel heard, independent, empowered, and become their own agents of change and growth. I want clients to feel safe, confidential, objective, and challenged. I have worked in a variety of settings, creating vast opportunities.
I want clients to leave a session feeling a sense of change, with an aim of having mental and physical peace with themselves. I love when clients do the majority of the talking and I can add feedback, challenges, and skills when appropriate. The session is for the client and not the therapist.
