Hello, my name is Rob Park, and I am a licensed psychologist in California. Are you a child, teen, young adult, or the parent/guardian of one, finding that there is a LOT going on, and feel anxious, overwhelmed, and stressed-out? I have over 20 years of experience providing an emotionally safe, validating environment in which to engage young people and their parents/guardians in this collaborative task of therapy. I aspire to provide support and skill-development for kids and teens, as well as providing support to parents and guardians in the difficult role of raising a family.
You can expect that I will strive to "go at your pace" in therapy. I typically engage parents to be active participants in their child's or teen's care, as parent involvement tends to lead to better outcomes. Additionally, teens often benefit from having a private space to talk openly, and privately.
My strengths include a passion for helping people: kids, teens, young adults, and their parents/guardians. I feel that I connect with a wide range of kids and teens, and I emphasize being genuine and real, and bring an approach that includes humor, when appropriate.
