Welcome to RNR Counseling Services LCSW, PLLC my name is Rich Rutherford, LCSW. I have been a therapist since 2010 and have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2016. It is Holiday Time and I recognize that grief over the loss of a loved one can be difficult anytime but especially around the holidays. I want to work with people on how to manage their grief and teach them how to identify things that may trigger difficult feelings especially if its the set of holidays without their loved one. I have extensive experience helping people manage their feelings around trauma, develop coping skills and to move forward.
I am strength based with my clients during sessions. I believe sessions are client driven and client focused. Treatment is successful when clients develop their own treatment goals not the therapist. I offer sessions in a quiet office. I will do individual counseling and some family counseling depending on the circumstances.
I understand life can be stressful. People have demands at home, work, school and in relationships. The techniques I use with clients are strength based and skills I use in my own life such as mindfulness, positive self-talk and relaxation techniques.
