Hi! I'm Riley, and I strive to elevate my client’s personal power by supporting them in taking an active role in their treatment, helping them connect with their knowledge of self, and supporting their decisions surrounding their mental health. Much of my experience is from working with adults who hold a wide array of different backgrounds and identities. However, I am especially passionate about working with LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent populations and enjoy helping people navigate transitions and explore identity.
My approach is heavily informed by the psychodynamic school of thought, which imparts the perspective that we are deeply impacted by our early environments and the major relationships present during our formative years. My work is also centered around values I have adopted from Feminist Therapy. These tenets are foundational to how I navigate my work.
I know that finding a therapist can sometimes be a daunting and overwhelming process; because you are not just looking for a therapist, but for someone who you can build trust with, connect with, and feel supported by. I believe strongly that the relational fit between client and therapist is one of the most important parts of the therapeutic work.
