I'm a retired Navy Drug/Alcohol Counselor with 24 years' experience in varied clinical settings. Now I have my own private practice in a quiet, peaceful setting. This is not fast food nor a high-volume dealership. I offer counseling/psychotherapy in a friendly, supportive, non-hurried, non-judgmental environment. I'm an optimist. I listen, assist, guide, teach and help others to the best of my abilities. Depression, anxiety, substance misuse, Diabetes and other health issues plus general life issues do not define a person. Change is possible. My hope is to help each client in my practice attain their personal goals.
I have many areas of interest. Citing a "Specialty" is too limiting. Experience teaches me that presenting issues don't have one specific origin. Depression, anxiety, mood disorders, substance misuse, relationship issues don't develop from a single experience where just one specialty will effectively address it for positive change.
Navy trained Drug/Alcohol Counselor. CT Drug/Alcohol Counselor and Licensed Clinical Social Worker. 24 years honorable active service US Navy. Owner/only employee at Anchor Counseling LLC. American Diabetes Association Behavioral Health clinician. Trained/experienced Integrated Behavioral Healthcare clinician understanding how physical health impacts mood.
