I graduated from the OU in 1982. I have been in been in private practice, providing psychotherapy in OK for over 40 years. I provide both short term problem focused and long term therapy. Anxiety, anger, and stress management programs are available. Regardless of the type of therapy offered, my emphasis is on educating and empowering the client with useful tools. One of these tools is Tai Chi mindfulness exercises, when requested. These tools enable the client to identify, to understand and manage their issues when they leave my office.
I use standard psyhcoanalytic thinking with cognitive behavioral techniques, education, Tai Chi exercises, and Gestalt role play to taylor a program to the clients' needs and desires. I work with the client in a cooperative way to form a relationship of mutal respect. This enables us to work together to develop a treatment plan.
