My practice includes work with individuals, generally ages 16 and up, and couples. I was a Professor of Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte for many years, and now am the Distinguished Chair of the Boulder Crest Institute for Posttraumatic Growth (see www.bouldercrest.org). At Boulder Crest we serve veterans and first responders. With my small practice, I make appointments with you myself, and there is no bureaucracy to deal with. I am on many insurance plans. I think you will find that working with me is comfortable and practical, and we start right away to discuss what your concerns are.
Although I work with individuals and couples with various concerns and difficulties, my specialty involves life transitions, loss, and trauma. Try internet searches to see books I have published in this area to give you an idea of the work I do. See especially the Posttraumatic Growth Workbook, and Transformed by Trauma: Stories of Posttraumatic Growth.
I am credentialed by PsyPact, which means I can provide therapy to you via telehealth in your state, if it is one of the approximately 20 states that participate in this telehealth arrangement. Go to https://psypact.site-ym.com/page/psypactmap to see if I practice in your state.
