I have 44 years of teaching and clinical experience and have treated a variety of issues, but specialize in depression, anxiety, relationship, anger management, and sexual issues. I also have extensive experience in substance abuse treatment and behavioral addictions such as OCD, obsessive shopping, and porn addiction. In addition, I also treat religious guilt and help others deal with issues related to spirituality and grief. I tailor the treatment to each person for the greatest personal effectiveness. I do so with many years of clinical experience and a professional and compassionate approach. I am licensed in both CA and MI.
Depression and anxiety may be related to job stress, grief/loss, chemical addiction, dysfunctional relationships, past trauma, or low self-esteem. Many clients also have spiritual issues that have been a source of discomfort for years. Career issues and job dissatisfaction/burn-out are also the source of much job stress.
I have practiced as a therapist and psychologist for over 43 years. I have also studied music and theology, and I'm well versed in religious issues and concerns. I am a university professor with a strong background in psychopharmacology, psychotropic medications, addictions/drug treatment, relationship counseling, and conflict resolution.
