A clinical psychologist with a Judeo-Christian spiritual base and postdoctoral training in the fields of individual and marital therapy, addiction, psychopharmacology, forensic psychology, and neuropsychology. My philosophy is this: Respect for the individual is the upper most concern because inside each of us is someone who deserves to live his or her life with dignity, joy and positive self regard. Therapy is that process of self-revelation and healing whereby each person shares of themselves in the hope that their doctor will walk with them and teach them how they might live a life of greater peace and happiness.
Working in a cognitive behavioral framework, therapy involves both the doctor and patient in working on the patient's issues in an active, transforming process. Therapy is a two way street and requires both patient and doctor to work toward common goals set by the patient.
Most insurances are accepted for evaluation and psychotherapy. Some psychological testing and assessment may not be covered. Psychological assessment in the areas of personality, intellectual functioning, memory, lap band and gastric by-pass surgery, and for forensic purposes (sex offender evaluation and treatment) is also provided.
