DBT

Teen and young adult oriented introduction to Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT ) Skills, Techniques, and Principles is offered. This program is a structured cognitive therapy group for teens that is based upon the tenants of Marsha M. Linehan, Ph.D. DBT is an empirically supported treatment that has been successful in reducing self-injurious behaviors and time spent in psychiatric treatment. Participants are helped to understand their problem behaviors and are taught new skill, understanding and attitudes to help them deal with situations more effectively in the future.
