I am a psychotherapist with 30 years of experience working with adults, couples and families. I have run groups for men and women who struggled with relationship issues helping them communicate more openly and honestly. I have always been able to provide a safe, respectful environment allowing clients to feel comfortable sharing their concerns, fears and hopes for the future. Developing rapport and trust are a must in any successful relationship; this is especially true in therapy. By the end of our first session you will know you are in competent and caring hands making it easier to discuss difficult issues openly and honestly.
My approach to therapy combines cognitive with behavioral changes. This allows you to tackle deeper emotional issues while diminishing unhealthy behaviors that erode self-esteem, sabotage relationships and undermine your achievements. The ultimate goal is to address the underlying problems so that they don't simply recycle in different forms.
My most rewarding work has been helping individuals become happier, more productive and caring partners. With greater confidence and communication skills you will be able to express your wants and needs and resolve differences fairly and candidly. Closeness and greater intimacy will often follow.
