Richard A Strauss
Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LCSW-R
My goal as a therapist is to help people gain a deeper understanding of their personal and interpersonal challenges that can often become obstacles in reaching their full potential I've been a psychotherapist for more than 30 years and have helped people develop healthier, more adaptive ways of handling their emotions. I believe in working with people in a very active and collaborative way whether it's addressing issues related to depression, anxiety, trauma or relationship issues. My fees are very reasonable and flexible because I believe everyone who needs psychotherapy should have the ability to have it.
My therapeutic approach is psychodynamic (helping people connect their life history, family history, life events, and traumas to present thoughts, behaviors, attitudes and emotional conflicts-which helps them gain a deeper and clearer understanding of themselves) and cognitive-behavioral approaches to help them create changes in their approach to life
