About
I honor all individuals who have chosen to embark on a journey of self-improvement. Therapy can be a tremendously rewarding and enlightening experience leading to life-long changes in thoughts, behavior, and interpersonal relationships. We will work together to develop several short-term, specific, measurable, action-oriented, and realistic goals. I view myself as the expert on human behavior and an agent to facilitate change. But, as a team, I rely on you as the expert on your life and to give me feedback on what is or is not working for you. Together, we move toward your goals.
As a cognitive-behavioral therapist, I will work with you to identify how your unique perceptions of past, current, and future situations impact your feelings and behavior. Many of these are at the root of depression, anxiety, and addictions. I am solution focused; therefore, we address your most important issues.
Not everyone can afford to or even wants to spend months or years in therapy. I maximize our session time by giving you readings and "real-world" assignments to do at home to practice what we discuss in session. My personal style is very laid back, unassuming, and respectful.
