I am passionate about serving military members, veterans, and their families. Because I retired from the military, I understand the challenges that military families face. Sometimes those involve trauma where assistance is needed. But, I also understand that dealing with life in general can be stressful and complex leading to a variety of difficulties including anxiety, depression, and relationship problems. Oftentimes, we resort to poor coping strategies when facing challenges that can even include unhealthy or illegal behaviors, including sexual. If you are experiencing compulsive or problematic sexual behaviors, I can help.
I use various approaches to counseling including solution-focused, CBT, and ACT techniques. I incorporate EMDR in treatment when appropriate and also integrate spirituality when requested. As a CSOTP, I can help whether you are court ordered or self-referred for a sex offense or deviant sexual behavior. I am able to provide both evaluations and treatment.
