Melissa Tourgee is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Professional and Addiction Counselor in Rhode Island. Prior to obtaining her license to counsel, Melissa worked for 17 years as the Director of an inner-city childcare center. She is a full-time substance abuse counselor by day and works private practice as a part time endeavor. Melissa is committed to helping individuals learn how to change what they can and manage what they can't. The hardest thing for an individual to do is to know themselves and to change themselves. Her calm and non-judgmental approach provides a safe space for vulnerability, healing, and positive change.

Silvers Psychology and Wellness provides psychological testing for ages 6+. Psychological testing can guide treatment within medication management or therapy. Testing covers cognitive abilities, memory, mental health symptoms, and personality. For students, a picture of an individual's functioning in these areas may open doors for academic accommodations to help the student succeed academically. In addition, we offer ASD testing for adults (not children). The office also offers therapy for all teens and adults via telehealth and in-person appointments with our therapy clinicians.

He is a graduate of Rhode Island College where he received his BA and MSW in social work.

Dr. Alex Turchetta is a licensed clinical psychologist who provides services to both adolescents and adults. He has a focus in psychological assessment for ADHD. Dr. Turchetta graduated from the Florida School of Professional Psychology in 2014. He completed his pre-doctoral internship at the Manatee Glens Consortium with a focus on substance abuse and mental health intervention as well as child/ adolescent assessment. Dr. Turchetta completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Rhode Island, where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology.

Amber Champagne, PsyD (she/her/hers) is a licensed clinical psychologist who primarily conducts neuropsychological assessments. Dr. Champagne's clinical experience includes the assessment of anxiety, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, mood disorders, specific learning disorders, PTSD, psychotic disorders, and substance use disorders. She has experience working with children (pre-school and school-age), adolescents, and adults. Her therapeutic approaches include client-centered therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and the transtheoretical model of change in addiction recovery.
