Hello! My name is Sid (they/she), I am a queer, nonbinary therapist at the Center for Growth in Providence, Rhode Island. I provide in-person (in RI) and virtual therapy (in PA, NJ, and RI) to individuals, groups, couples, and other relationship formations. I view my therapeutic practice as an ongoing collaboration with my clients. Working together, we will explore clients' relevant histories, examine values, set goals for treatment, and tailor any therapeutic interventions to the needs of the client instead of using a “one-size-fits-all” approach.

I enjoy working with adolescents and young adults. I have experience working with individuals to overcome various mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, issues with self-esteem, trauma and life changes. I listen closely to the needs of my clients to choose a treatment approach that is most helpful and appropriate for them. In collaboration, we will utilize various modalities and techniques such as cognitive restructuring, mindfulness practices, conflict management and others to help reach your personal goal - whatever that may be.

Welcome to my profile!!! I have been providing counseling, case management, and crisis intervention to individuals and families affected by addiction over the past 20 years. I’m comfortable working with individuals of all age groups and stages of addiction or recovery. I would love to help with common challenges in recovery, ie...difficult emotions, cravings, developing new coping strategies, addressing trauma and shame without drugs & alcohol, building new relationships and repairing old ones, money problems, loneliness, boredom, mental health issues, transitioning out of rehab & back home, relapse and finding purpose.

I enjoy helping my clients identify the barriers stopping them from reaching their goals and developing creative ways to overcome them. My clients tend to be entrepreneurs and creative individuals who feel stuck. They have so many ideas but have difficulty knowing where and how to start. Other times imposter syndrome is getting in the way. I don't believe in it taking years to reach therapeutic goals. My clients tend to see changes within weeks of our first session.

I'm a therapist+musician who loves working with people on their journeys to healthier relationships and becoming their authentic selves. I was raised fundamentalist and spent my childhood learning fire and brimstone theology and memorizing verses from the King James Bible. Needless to say I chose to leave the "sinners in the hands of an angry God" mentality behind when I grew up. The truth is, being hard on ourselves doesn't help us or anyone else. But compassion, love, acceptance and presence connect us to who we really are, and who we can become.

I am a social worker at the New England Center for OCD and Anxiety helping clients of all ages. I have experience helping people struggling with OCD, anxiety, and related disorders, and particularly enjoy working with neurodivergent, queer, and gender nonconforming clients. My goals are your goals. I am a firm believer that I, as your therapist, should not be someone that is telling you what kind of person you should be. I am is a board-certified sex therapist and draw from my experiences as a mindfulness-based mental health counselor, a licensed massage therapist, a registered yoga teacher, and a sexual wellness educator teaching a Human Sexuality course at URI for the last 13 years. Our sexuality and sexual experiences have the potential power to be part of some of the most blissful and beautiful experiences as well as potentially problematic, compulsive or traumatic experiences. I support people to connect with their inner guidance system to access their own wisdom for healing, creating balance, wellbeing, joy and pleasure.
