When it's time to tackle the issues that are getting in your way, I will provide a caring, and energetic environment to create the change you need. I am a collaborative therapist who helps with concerns from temporary stress to challenging life situations and patterns of behavior stopping people from moving forward. I work with men and women who are experiencing anxiety, depression, challenging parenting situations, weight issues, and relationship concerns. I also work with people who just feel stuck in their personal lives or careers. I offer daytime appointments to accommodate your schedule.
Therapy is a unique and personal journey, therefore I practice an integrative and individualized style of therapy to best address your specific needs. My therapeutic style can be described as integrative, empathic and nonjudgmental. I focus on helping to build on a client's strengths while also directing attention to those behaviors and thoughts that hold people back from achieving their goals and living a more authentic life.
My approach to therapy is customized for you to give you the optimal environment to explore what is giving you distress, what you are questioning, and opportunities for personal growth. I work with you to address your challenges and identify ways to manage them. My work is through evidence based approaches. I treat adults , couples, and families in a safe and supportive manner. I will complete an assessment of your current status, identify treatment goals, and make a plan for your treatment with you. I work at a pace with which you are comfortable, taking into account the goals you have identified.
It can be challenging to recognize that changes need to be made in your life and in your relationships. Yet, when conflicts begin to resolve and life becomes “smoother,” therapy becomes its own reward. As a therapist, I focus on creating a trusting and compassionate environment where you will feel safe in areas that await healing. I offer a shelter where you will learn to identify patterns that keep you ‘stuck’ and where you can explore new approaches and strategies that will allow your potential to blossom.
You are here and you are reading this, the first step has been taken and I am proud of you for that. Welcome! Facing difficult emotional and interpersonal challenges in our lives can be frightening but can also be a time for growth and healing. Talking with someone who listens without judgment, understands your concerns, and helps you clarify issues can be invaluable and I am here to provide that to you.
As your therapist I will strive to help you discover your strengths in efforts to instill hope, inspire change, and best support you in reaching your goals. Together we will process your stressors, emotions and thought patterns. I take great care in developing a safe and collaborative relationship with my clients, as it is a key conductor towards healing, hope and change. I strive to see my clients become more resilient, empowered, become more joyful and have better relationships with people they can trust.
My job is not to tell you what to do. Or even give you advice. Or presume that I know what's better for you than you do. My job is to support you emotionally and listen non-judgementally as you find your way through life's bumps and bruises. No doubt that dealing with people and situations is often stressful. But it's our own conflicting values and desires about how to handle these things that tend to make us anxious, depressed...stuck. What I do is compassionately listen and then gently point out where you sound conflcted.
