I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and currently pursuing a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) credential. I hold a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Mental Health with a specialization in Play Therapy from Sam Houston State University. I specialize in trauma treatment with children, adolescents, and adults, utilizing a variety of techniques and theoretical orientations, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), child centered play therapy (CCPT), sand tray therapy, and a variety of evidenced based approaches.
I work with adults, adolescents, and children. Working specifically with children can be the most rewarding, yet challenging career ever. Therapists trained in Play Therapy interprets what the child is trying to communicate and helps the child to learn more about themselves and problem-solving skills.
