I am certified in TF-CBT and work with children who are dealing with trauma. I work with a variety of population of ages from 5 and up to help individuals and families. Individuals who are struggling to cope with the varied and pervasive effects of substance use disorders as well as their underlying or subsequent mental health conditions. My aim is to walk along side of those who are working on overcoming and coping with chemical dependency as well as lives past and present issues, empowering them to gain self-sufficiency and restore trust and support toward leading and build healthy relationships.
I have three years of experience as a mental health provider and 30 years in recovery. I am studying to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I am certified in TF-CBT working with children and teens dealing with trauma and working toward being certified in CPT.
As someone who experienced the onset of a substance use disorder in adolescence, and dealing with my past trauma, the devastating impact that substance use had on my life and relationships has given me the determination and joy that come with recovery. I am passionate, present, empathic and understanding while being supportive.
