You are more than your symptoms, you are a person who is seeking fulfillment and personal growth.I see my role as a guide to help you gain insight and perspective into challenges are experiencing. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, or feeling stuck or conflicted about identity, relationships, or career, I will work with you to understand underlying feelings and experiences that are interfering with leading a fulfilling and happy life. I have a supportive, non -judgmental , compassionate, and responsive style. As a trained psychotherapist and psychoanalyst, I work with patients from 1-3x per week.

Areas of expertise include individual and group psychoanalysis/psychotherapy with individuals who have experienced recent or past histories of trauma. My training and skills include working with children, adolescents and their parents, as well work with couples.

I believe that the relationship between patient and therapist is central. I work interpersonally with patients with a focus on the here and now experience of therapy. I work towards cultivating an atmosphere of safety and trust in which you can feel comfortable to freely express feelings, thoughts, experiences.

Rhona Kaplan's Groups

Female survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse

This is an interpersonal psychoanalytic group for individuals with histories of sexual abuse. Group work is a reparative process, which provides members with the potential for healing so they do not only experience themselves as "surviving" but "thriving". The processing of the here and now dynamics among group members is emphasized as this helps to bring awareness of the impact of sexual abuse and traumas on interpersonal relationships.
