Healing is a very personal process. Therapy does not just occur in 45 minute sessions, but throughout your daily life. We feel the wounds of past generations, the systems around us, and the experiences we have survived. I am a Master's level clinician with 3+ years of experience supporting people who have survived adversity on a personal, family, and systemic level. I specialize in working with queer, neurodiverse teenagers and young adults with a trauma history, and approach my work from a social justice and culturally humble lens.
My therapeutic style combines evidence-based practices like EMDR and DBT/Mindfulness with psychoeducation, somatic and body work, harm reduction, choice-based empowerment, and trauma-informed whole-person healing. I believe in the brain and body's inherent ability to heal when given the safe space to do so, and my goal is to help create that space with you.
Rather than asking "What's wrong with you?" I help you answer "What have you endured?" I believe that it is important to validate the very real harm caused by oppressive systems while supporting healing in a way that is meaningful to you.
