I am passionate and dedicated to the healing journeys of survivors who have been through traumatic experiences. I am a licensed professional counselor and I am certified in trauma informed care. I have experience working with adolescent and adult clients from various backgrounds with complex trauma histories. My approach is collaborative, nurturing, empathetic, direct, and non-judgmental because I believe a safe, warm, and accepting environment is essential to the therapeutic process and in guiding clients through their healing and grief; and the various thoughts and emotions that go with them.
Recognizing how minority status and oppression can add to mental health, traumatic experiences, and seeking support, I strive to create an inclusive space for all clients with different cultural backgrounds and identities.
I use an integrative approach and tailor treatment to the clients needs and goals to foster hope, empowerment, and resilience.
My areas of focus include post traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, depression, self-harming behaviors, attachment disruptions, codependency, healing after sexual abuse, healing after antagonistic relationships, and interpersonal relationships.
