"Without awareness, we are not truly alive" - James F. T. Bugental. The purpose of psychotherapy is to awaken the individual and increase insight through exploration of their life, choices, and resistance's. This examination is a personal journey and different for each person. Although difficult and challenging at times, it is a courageous endeavor that can lead to life long positive changes, new ways of being in the world, and a deeper meaning and purpose for one's life.
I work with adolescents and adults who struggle with depression; anxiety; life changes; relationship difficulties; loss and grief; anger and stress; family conflict and sport injuries. My therapeutic philosophy is based on an existential-humanistic framework. Consequently, I focus on the client rather than the diagnosis.
I have office hours Tuesday through Friday.
