About
Reva Sheppard is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Licensed Vocational Nurse, and Chaplain. She graduated from Texas Wesleyan University's Master of Arts in Professional Counseling program. Reva has special training for treating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) using Eye-Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). Reva also trained in London, England with the experts in "Solution Focus Therapy". Reva keeps abreast of the latest research on the brain and weaves this evidence-based research into her therapy practice. She has been exposed to different cultures within the US, and appreciates their unique strengths.
Research tells us, how to communicate more effectively, what really works to lower depression, to become more "emotional intelligent", in order to become more successful in our personal relationships and in the workplace. Research is revealing new things about depression, managing anger, anxiety, and what can we do to be happy.
To the degree we value, and accept ourselves, is to the degree that we will value and accept others. This is foundational to all our relationships. Reva has a profound respect for people; just as each person has a unique fingerprint, she believes that each person has unique strengths and capabilities.
