We get caught up in significant emotional events, Traumatic stress, behaviors, personalities, fears and obsessions that can make us feel stuck. I feel it is my job to help breakdown those barriers and move into a restored life like journey.
I use a combination of insight oriented therapy, cognitive-behavioral, psycho-dynamic solution focus, hypnotherapy and humanistic techniques. Identify the thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes which led them to shoplift. Examine their behavior and understand how much they risked for a small reward. We focus on pressures kids having to deal with among friends and family. Areas include violence, parental problems, defiance, gender roles, discipline, abuse, trauma, ethnicity, and gang related issues. The struggle between youth independence while still needing parental guidance which results in behavior problems. Any number of isolated behavior problems can represent children issues of delinquency-shoplifting, truancy, fights in school, drug or alcohol ingestion. Sometimes, kids can't easily explain why they act the way they do. Loved ones may feel scared, angry, or frustrated. But there is help available to our kids and families.
