My clients are often struggling to manage symptoms of anxiety: over-thinking, self-doubt, reassurance seeking behaviors, situational avoidance, perfectionism, and hypervigilance among others. These stressors often have external consequences: difficulty feeling comfortable in social spaces or relationships, functioning at work or school, and meeting our needs for rest/sleep/nutrition. I enjoy working with clients to relieve suffering in these areas, exploring significant lived experiences, and connecting to deeper understanding our selves.
My areas of specialty are Anxiety Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Perfectionism, Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors (skin-picking and hair pulling disorders), Panic Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Anxiety and Depression. I have advanced training in Exposure and Response Prevention for OCD and Comprehensive Behavioral Therapy for BFRBs.
I offer a warm, relational and un-pressured approach to therapy. I can help identify what patterns work and where change could be valuable. I tend to find humor in situations and bring a human component to the therapy room.
