I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which helps me to better understand the client’s mindset and how it impacts their daily routine. My approach to therapy has a fluid feel based on the needs of each client I work with. If my client identifies as a Christian and would like to incorporate spirituality in their sessions, then I would use a biblical approach.
Therapy is very effective when the client and therapist build a healthy rapport and create an environment where the client can be open, honest, and comfortable to share their deepest thoughts with no fear of judgment or guilt. Having the opportunity to listen to someone is one of the best gifts I could provide to them.
