Accepting New Clients
I work with clients who live with intense emotions, debilitating depression, immense anxiety, anger, trauma, or the urge to avoid feeling all together. For many this can lead to unrelenting crisis, self invalidation, being hijacked by emotions, impact relationships, and reinforce behaviors that are not in line with the life you want. I create a space to support with non-judgmentally looking at thoughts, behaviors, and emotions that prompt suffering and inhibit access to long term goals. I support with recognizing the function of these behaviors, thoughts, and emotions that prompt pain and help find resolution.
I specialize in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Prolonged Exposure to treat PTSD, and Ketamine Assisted Therapy. I hold a liberation perspective recognizing the intersectionality of social, political, and psychological factors in understanding one's personal experience and the impact of systemic oppression, colonization, and inequality on mental health.
Coming to therapy is vulnerable and seeking to work towards change and acceptance within pain is an incredibly courageous act. I work with a dialectical philosophy; I hold a non-judgmental, validating, caring space for my clients AND engage with directness, honesty, and challenge to promote change. I would be honored to walk beside you in your journey.
