I believe that all our life experiences, good or bad, become our wisdom and that wisdom, if we allow ourselves to see and understand it, has the potential to help all of us to learn powerful lessons. Lessons that can help us to confront our fears so that we can move forward with our lives in constructive and positive ways. Frequently, whether working with women or men suffering anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, loss and/or abandonment I have been given the gift of witnessing that moment of clarity in a client’s eyes and in their voices when they realize that there is hope for a better life.
I like to think of myself as an eclectic therapist, who loves working with art, writing, music, and film. I use art and expressive therapies when needed or asked for. At times a brief departure from talk therapy can facilitate greater insight and understanding. Art therapy has nothing to do with artistic talent or training it is about expression and release.
As a non-judgmental, compassionate, person-centered therapist, it is my objective to help you to find joy, hope, and serenity. I will focus on your self-care, because self-care is the act of showing yourself compassion, patience, forgiveness, empathy, humor, and love. These are not just words but a path toward greater self-acceptance & better mental health.
